Yay election day!!! One of my favorite days of the year. Im a little crazy I know, but my husband and I love politics. Staunch conservatives, we are excited for what could be a great night for the republicans. We are going to stay up all night watching election returns. Ill be wiped in the morning, but wednesday is my work from home day so I wont have to get up quite at the crack of dawn. I was number 1228 at our voting place, out of about 4000 people in our town, and that was at like 4.

Speaking of crack of dawn, baby girl got up at 430!!!! and would NOT go back to sleep.....I have not been feeling well lately, not sure due to being off my meds, or just because Im battling a sinus infection. Then not only was she up, but kiddo woke up too. So 5 am and all were out on the couch except the hubby. I had to leave for work by 7, so I had to go wake him up to take care of the kids.

He had a second interview for a job today, we are hoping and PRAYING so hard that this is what is meant to be. We are big beleivers in what God wants to happen will, but after so much sacrifice, and hard work, its incredibly hard to be in this spot. We will take any additional prayers anyone gives!

Before we went to vote, I ran to walmart to get some elastic thread. Im in love with the 'anthropolgie' look, and want to make some of these scarves like at

It seems quite easy, and I also bougt some clearance 1.00 and 1.50 fabric (plus I have some random stuff laying around) Im going to make one or two tommorow and see how it goes!

Ive tried this before....

Ive tried to blog before and it lasts like hmmm two posts, one blog lasted ONE!
But this time I swear Im gonna do it!

I love all the great blogs out, there, especially those related to crafting, and I lurk and read them all the time, and finally decided that Id give it a whirl again.
This blog will be about me, my two kids, my husband and my crafting adventures.

Ive recently started reading a great blog called theraputic crafting, (see my links for it!). I totally feel that way about crafting-that is a therapy, and I think blogging will be a part of that too. I live a high stress life: new baby (six months old) child (first grade!) a husband out of work, and I have a crazy busy job as a senior systems analyst.
Plus I have a history of anxiety/depression (PPD) and am off medication for the first time in 5 years and stress makes it flare up big time. Im looking at this as a way to talk it out like in therapy:) Brenda over at Theraputic Crafting, you inspired me!!

I dont even care if no one out there reads it, but me!

So first fun crafty thing....Halloween costumes! I made the family Super Mario Costumes. They turned out kind of.....well not as well as hoped, but they were ok.

My husband is Luigi, my son Mario, Im princess peach, and our daughter is Toadette:

So first post down, lets keep up with it!
